Meet Our Founder

Mercedes Diamond was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. She left Buffalo to attend North Carolina A&T State University where she graduated Cum Laude, with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. Upon graduation she relocated to Atlanta, GA to pursue a career in Finance. However, Mercedes always had a passion for beauty. As a child she dreamt of owning a luxurious salon & spa.

In 2009 Mercedes Diamond pursued her dreams and completed the Master Cosmetology program at The Aveda Institute in Buckhead Atlanta. During her tenure at Aveda she was the school president, created and oversaw three hair shows, one in which was held at the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Atlanta, GA. She has studied under some of the greatest Hair Stylists & Make Up Artists in the World; Jamison Shaw, Deshonica Green, Yosh Toya, Van-Michael, James Ryder and many more.

In 2011 Mercedes Diamond decided to move home and bring an Upscale, Private, & Luxurious salon experience to Buffalo, NY. She opened the private luxury Diamond Do Salon in March of 2012. Every year Mercedes diligently worked to expand her brand and provide state of the art services for her clients. She has developed a luxury biomineral hair care line and added premium virgin hair extensions and bundles to her brand as well.

Ten years later, April 3, 2022 she expanded her brand and opened, The Diamond Do Beauty Suites; she now has a store front for product sales, as well as, luxury salon and spa suites for established professionals and small businesses like herself to lease. Additionally, Diamond Do Salon now has a larger foot print, which offers employment opportunities for other practitioners to join The Diamond Do Salon team.
